Aitken Spence Hotels Recognises the Best in Bartending at the Spirit of Excellence Challenge

Aitken Spence Hotels has recognised the outstanding talent across its Food & Beverage teams through the inaugural Aitken Spence Spirit of Excellence Challenge, powered by Periceyl, DCSL (Distilleries Company of Sri Lanka PLC) and DBL (DCSL Breweries Lanka Ltd). The competition brought together bartending talent from across the Aitken Spence Hotels portfolio and Heritance Hotels and Resorts, showcasing creativity, technical expertise, and the ability to develop innovative, commercially viable offerings.

Participants were evaluated on key criteria, including their technique, creativity, presentation, storytelling, salesmanship, taste, and balance. The initiative was designed to strengthen product knowledge and mixology expertise while encouraging innovation and the development of signature offerings, with the potential for introducing the recipes across the hotel portfolio.

The Spirit of Excellence Challenge forms part of Aitken Spence Hotels’ continued commitment to developing its people, nurturing specialised skills and creating opportunities for its teams to demonstrate creativity and professional excellence.
