We have revived and enlivened Sri Lanka’s heritage of environmental sustainability and made it a corporate priority and it is our prime objective to assure that all our operations are environmentally sensitive.
Aitken Spence’s Governing Principles highlights the environmental commitment of the Group and we have always inculcated the values of being integrated into the community and the environment around it. We have established environmental management systems in all our hotels resulting in international certifications and awards. All hotels have environmental and socially sustainable policies which includes continual improvement on a year-on-year basis. Regular environmental audits and management reviews addressing energy, resource, solid and liquid waste management will take place to ensure our practices are sustained. We strive to operate with minimum disturbance to the natural environment.
